Thread #3 for the action-comedy franchise. It originated in 1984 with Eddie Murphy as Detroit cop, Axel Foley. Axel travels to Beverly Hills to find who killed his best friend.

The movie co-starred Judge Reinhold, John Ashton, Ronny Cox and Bronson Pinchot. A sequel followed in 1987.
