The Journey/Steve Perry Appreciation Thread! - We Can't Stop Believing In Them!
Journey started in the 70s, but achieved even bigger worldwide success in the 1980s with songs like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Who's Crying Now", "Open Arms", "Faithfully", "Seperate Ways", "Only The Young", "Still They Ride", "After The Fall", "I'll Be Alright Without You", "Be True To Yourself" and others. The band continues to record and tour with it's new singer, the second front man the band has had since Steve Perry. The lead singer of Journey, Steve Perry, is one of the most brilliant vocalists in rock music in my opinion. Steve journeyed off into a solo career during his time with his band and had 80s hit singles like "Oh Sherrie", "Foolish Heart", "Strung Out", "She's Mine", and the duet with Kenny Loggins, "Don't Fight It". Steve continued to record a little in the 90s having a hit single in 1994 with "You Better Wait", and contributed "I Stand Alone" to the 1998 animated film, "Quest For Camelot". He also reunited with Journey one last time in the mid to late 90s. After being MIA for the last decade or so, Steve is back writing new material and plans on recording soon!. Steve, now 60!, in recent pics : __________________

Lol. I can write in music like in movies or TV. However, it's much harder to write reviews for music. I write reviews at Amazon, and music has always been the hardest to write about.
Their new singer sounds eerily like Steve too. The one before him did too and his name was Steve!!. Lol. Their new CD has some vintage sounding Journey stuff on it, and there's a second CD that comes with it with newly recorded versions of old hits with the new guy. __________________

It's interesting that some bands, who have lead singers with distinct one of a kind voices, replace them with people who sound eerily like them. Journey for one, and Chicago was another.

That one and "Don't Stop Believin'", I think, are the two they play the most often on the radio. I hear those two more than any other.
