Well, I didn't give it much thought, but I had always noticed it. He was such a stickler for time and the rules and stuff and then he said that and was kind of nonchalant about it.

Oh I absolutely have noticed this one. Well we can't say he figured out it all in that exact moment but this was so important indeed in him figuring out it all later, I've always thought so too

Most studios turned the movie down. One suggested they go to Disney. They did. The executive there looked at Zemeckis and Bob Gale like they were weirdos. The executive said "Are you guys out of your minds? You wrote a movie about incest!" Lol.

It wasn't but the mother liking the son part rubbed him the wrong way. He was like "This is Disney! We can't make this movie!"
