I just read the bad news about The Cosby Show. The episodes on the DVD are the edited syndicated ones.

I don't think I will buy them if they are the editted ones.

I'm glad we at least know ahead of time, Maxi. I would be very mad if I bought it and found out the eps weren't complete.

I hope so Kelly. Love FH!

yup, I'm glad we know in advance too, Melis.

Let's hope for a FH s2 release!

I am bummed, because the best video store in town no longer carries Till We Meet Again (the 1989 adaption of the Judit Krantz novel, starring for instance Courtney Cox, Barry Bostwick and Hugh Grant). And I was 'this' close to ordering the DVDs through Amazon in sheer desperation when I came home. Good thing I had a quick glance at the reviews and realised that the DVDs are a cut version of the original mini-series/TV-movie/VHS-copies. And I haven't been able to find any VHS-copies to buy through the sources I usually use when shopping internationally (I can't order VHS from the States or Canada because my TV isn't compatible with the american VHS-format).

I guess I will have to hope for a r2 DVD-release that is unabrigded (although I think it's unlikely...)

I'm sorry. That's frustrating! What is with all these cut versions on DVD? Grr

Me neither? The other way around is the way it should be (or - the very least level of decensy - no cutting)

Right, one reason why I like buying DVDs is so I can get the eps/movie uncut! I feel cheated when they release the edited bs.

tvshowsondvd has more news about Roseanne!

Early last month Roseanne appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and said that the second season of her classic sitcom was in-the-works for later this year. We confirmed with Anchor Bay that this release would arrive on December 6th, and now we've learned that this will be a 4-DVD set that goes for $39.98 SRP. Extras and cover art are still being finalized, so stay tuned for that.

Among the best episodes on Roseanne were the annual Halloween episodes, a holiday which the Conner family in the program reveled in. Those installments were some of the best, funniest episodes of the show, and in recognition of that Anchor Bay intends to put out a Halloween-themed Roseanne DVD release next year. It's tentatively planned for early October 2006 (no surprise), and they are still deciding on what the exact content and disc count will be. We'll let you know more about this when the time comes (it will probably be a while, as this is REALLY early info, so please be patient!).

Damn! I just found out they are using the syndicated/cut eps for the Roseanne DVDs. Carey/Werner is on my ***** list!
