Wow. I am glad to see that you remember some of these. I can't find anybody that remembers "It's Your Move". Lol. I just wish there was a lot of the same kind of fun/creativity then now.
I thought more people would of remembered "Free Spirit" since it was on TGIF. Granted, it was for a short time. The Lucy one, as you saw, did not last long. A few of the last episodes didn't ever air. Lucy had never been cancelled before with her three other shows, so she took it hard. __________________

^ Yeah, I read. And didn't she even die not too long after? I mean, it was already the mid-80's.

Whether there's something on the TGIF line-up in the 80's that I remember or forgot, it's a certainty that I watched every episode when it aired. I am actually going to get around to watching the "Free Spirit" episodes on YT. Definitely a last chance kind of thing. __________________

She passed about 3 years after that show.
I watched every one one TGIF as well. That is a good idea. There are a number of shows I had planned on watching on YT and I haven't gotten around to it yet. __________________

I watched the pilot of "Free Spirit". Here's the premise: Every 100 years, dead/immortal witches must come down to do community service with the living. The littlest son wishes her into existence because dad doesn't have time for him. She's not allowed to tell Adults (aka, the dad) the truth about who she is. He thinks she's the new housekeeper. They develop a little crush on each other too, but she's really attached to the kids (in like a day). You might recall her catchphrase, "Not necessarily …", before she magically transforms a given circumstance. It's pretty bad. I loved reading the comments. "That was horrible. And somehow I wound up enjoying it anyway. I think I might be broken ..." "Jee-zuss". "This show sucks". It's very ... "Small Wonder" meets "Out of this World", divided by the movie "Prelude to A Kiss". __________________

Possibly. She was also a heavy smoker. She had a massive heart attack.
I usually don't read comments on You Tube. Lol. I am not surprised with some of those responses though. Great comparisons though! __________________

The comparison is mine. And I'd like to amend it by saying I don't mean it literally. I'm saying, that's exactly how the show feels. Now onto episode 2 ... let's see how long I last.

Wow. I didn't know that show existed. And puppets? It's like Richard Pryor had his own Sesame Street.

^ Those were still a big deal in the 80's.
I specifically wanted to come back here to say that I've continued to watch "Free Spirit" and the dad is kind of an ass. Like, that is my overall, most presiding comment. And I'm surprised more people (of the six or so currently aware of the show, lol) are not calling this out. The show itself is still awful yet playable in a "Small Wonder" kind of way - after the first 6 eps, I could not go on, then found myself returning to watch the next four a month later, probably vacuumed in by the theme song (a few more to go) - but so far the patriarch is: Elitist/classist Materialistic Sexist Short-tempered Irresponsible Authoritarian Inappropriate (the kids have caught him looking at Playboy; he's quick to assume his son is dating a prostitute) Cheap Condescending Sadly, this represents a lot about our culture in the 80's, but somehow he can't pull off 'adorable' and frequently has an intense look in his eyes/stature about him that's ... well, if I were to make a parody, I'd have him on cocaine. __________________

Wow. That is a lot to take in about a dad on a forgotten sitcom. Lol. I honestly don't remember him much, so I am going to have to watch on You Tube.

Never heard of the show. According to wikipedia it was a Canadian show and lasted for three seasons.
