I was a baby when this happened. I have no recollection of it, but I have heard the stories. I know I was down at the park with my sister when it happened. This park is just a block away. I was told it was like walking in deep sand. It got dark and was snowing ash so bad you could barely see even with windshield wipers going -

I was 3 when that happened but because I have a ridiculously good memory, I remember this cause I was looking out the window of my house and watching the flakes of white ash falling on the road. Mom told me a big volcano exploded. And we were across the border in BC, Canada so that ashfall really went far if it was falling where I was!
