80's costumes and memorabillia that I saw today!

There is a traveling exhibit of movie and TV costumes and props, and it is here at our local museum. It started today and runs until September. Some of the 80's things I saw on display include -

Dan Aykroyd's outfit and proton pack from "Ghostbusters 2"

Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones jacket from "The Last Crusade", and the holy grail. Also there, was his whip from "Raiders".

Darth Vader costume from "The Empire Strikes Back"

Luke Skywalker's light saber and severed hand from "Empire"

Daryl Hannah's outfit from "Blade Runner"

Christopher Lambert's costume from "Highlander"

Capt. Picard's uniform from "Star Trek : The Next Geberation"

Louid Gosset, Jr.'s mask from "Enemy Mine"

Arnold's leather jacket(complete with bulletholes) from "The Terminator"

Other stuff there(not from the 80's) included :

The Robin costume from the 1960's "Batman" show

Clooney's Batman costume from "Batman And Robin"

Jim Carrey's Riddler costume from "Batman Forever"

Obi Wan-Kenobi's robe from "Star Wars"

Tunic and sah worn by Shatner in an ep of "Star Trek"

Face mask of Robert Patrick from "Terminator 2", along with the police shirt he was wearing with the liquid bulletholes and a stunt hand with the elongated, liquid finger.

Storm trooper and weapon from "Star Wars"

AND.....the wicked witch's hat from "The Wizard Of Oz"

There were a few other things, but this was the biggest and best. It was so cool and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Well, I wouldn't go that far myself, Lol, but it was pretty darn cool!. Looking at these things up close, I just couldn't imagine how the actors wore them. They had to of been hot, heavy, and binding!. Lol.

Very cool. I wish you could touch or take pictures of them, but neither was allowed. Just thinking about the history that was on the other side of the glass....
