Nice to see other VC Andrews fans. I still remember it was my childhood friend, Mimi, who gave me Flowers in the Attic to read.

TheMovieGrrl, totally know what you mean. It was a product of their circumstance, ya know? Have you found that folks either completely love that series of totally hate it, because of the issues involved?

I actually haven't read other VC Andrews books. I should. I think the Dollanganger family story was just it for me. Nothing else could top it.

Blackfaith, I have no willpower. I'd always zoom straight to the end.

Hmmm...

I LOVE the Culter Family series. Web of Dreams is seriously one of my all time favorite books...makes you appreciate family more, that's for sure.

Does anyone know how the order of the series, meaning, the different family chronicles? I forget. Still love VC Andrews
Yeah the Cutler family series was good! I have the entire series aswell as the Tatterton/Casteel books..
The familys in her books were serioussly messed up!

I remember loving the 2 first books about Dollanger and then didn't really like the third so I don't think I ever read the last 2. Maybe I should try them again, it seems weird that I wouldn't like all of them since they're probably quite a like.

Ohh, VC Andrews! Of course, I read lots and lots of her books during the 80s. And I loved them.

I liked Flowers in the Attic and Petals in the Wind the most. I remember If There Be Thorns (#3) was a little slow for me. Then it picked up again in Seeds of Yesterday.

But then you definitely have to read Garden of Shadows (the prequel).

Yeah, I thought the third one in that series was a little bit slow too. I reread the books several times back in the day, and the third one I often skipped. The fourth was better!

I still have 2 Jem and the Holograms Find Your Fate books, and I've been missing the third one for years. Bugs me to this day.

V.C. Andrews was an absolutely stunning storyteller, but damn, yo, skeletons in the closet much? You read enough of those early novels and they'll make you question your sanity. They're that freaky.

On a lighter note, I loved the Camp Sunnyside Friends series, although I doubt anyone's heard of it. Prove me wrong?

I have. Didn't like it much first time I read it, because I wasn't exactly in the right mood for it. Have reread it later and liked it better the second time around.

That sounds familiar, although I don't think I've read any of the books.

Sweet Valley High fans:
