227(1985-1990) - There's No Place Like Home!



227 premiered in September of 1985 and ran until May of 1990. 5 seasons and 116 episodes. It focused on the citizens living in an aprtment building in Washington, D.C. The main star was Marla Gibbs, who played Mary Jenkins, and her family. The show also starred Hal Williams, Regina King(now on "Southland"), Jackee, and the late Alaina Reed.

It was.

Starting March 1, Today is going to have classic tv family reunions. The cast of 227 is going to be one of them!.

Yep. Everyone who is still living will be there. The main Jenkins family will be there, as well as Jackee and Curtis Baldwin who played Calvin.

I think the first season is on DVD, but I am not 100% sure.

I saw the reunion. It was nice. They all keep in touch. Regina King, who was Brenda, was almost crying. They'll be coming back on in a minute to answer questions and stuff.

It was.

They talked about Helen Martin who was the old lady. I forget her name. Jackee said she was something else. 94 when she passed. Jackee said she was in the hospital near the end and the doctor told her not to worry. She would be OK. She goes, "Then what the hell am I doing here?." Lol.
