I had a VC Andrews 'relapse' or whatever better word I should call it last summer, and I reread the series about Heaven.

Isn't it amazing there are still so many books of VC Andrews? Lucky for us.

I've only read the Flowers in the Attic series. Which series should I pick up next?

The Heaven series (I know that's not the real name, but my brain is fried crispy, sue me) and the Ruby series are worth a read. Heaven was the last series the genuine Virginia Andrews actually wrote.

Creepy stuff. Messes with your head, I'm tellin' you. :loopy:

Ooohhh. Sounds good. I'll swing by Borders and pick that one up. Has someone else been writing under the pen name of VC Andrews?

Yup, some ghost writers. I know I read about it, but it's several years ago so I'm a bit fussy on the details. Can't recall if they just reworked and finnished her unfinnished stuff when she passed away or if they came up with all the ideas themselves.

A bit formulaic if memory serves me correctly. I can't even recall the name of the book(s) written after her death. I should reread them in order to really recall.

First half of the 80's it was all about Nancy Drew, whole series about Oz and the books by Michael Ende. Then I went on to Stephen King and Dean Koontz. I'm still stuck on Koontz, he's one of my favorite authors.

I remember reading some of the Judy Blume books but I can't recall the name of them. I was in this book club where they often where the book of the month. Maxi maybe you remember it Läslusen I think it was called.

I love Dean Koontz...such a great author. What books have you read?

I think I've only read one or two books by Dean Koontz, I never really fell for his books. I love Stephen King though, and read lots of his books during the late 80s.

Yeah, I remember the book club you mentioned Emma.

I read lots of stuff that wasn't released in the 80s but way earlier, but I will mention some of them anyhow because I read them during the decade. I fell in love with fantasy by reading and rereading C.S. Lewis and Lloyd Alexander, and then I continued to Tolkien. And still to this day I love those three. I would very much love to own some Lloyd Alexander books!

Yup, and the things I've mostly read of his works are his earlier works. I've read fewer of his most recent productions.
