**I was 80s Born and 80s Bred!!!*

THread for people who were actually born in the 80s.

I was born in 1986

Here is our theme song!

Artist: Something Corporate Lyrics
Song: Babies Of The 80s Lyrics

I grew up on five-alive
And transformers and slip-n-slide
Toy's R Us and Chuck-e-Cheeze
Disco out and techno in
to synthesize my favorite sin
And here I am on my knees
To get it back again

Babies of the 80's
Little girls in lycra shorts
Tented beds, nerf contact sports
My babies of the 80's
Shout it out just one more time
For the generation that was all mine

We learned to crawl on linoleum floors
Ronald Regan fought Star Wars
But he'll never be Han Solo
Students march Tienemen Square
They took him out hey that's not fair
Dad said it's good to be free
As we watched from our T.V.

Babies of the 80's
Little girls in lycra shorts
Tented beds, nerf contact sports
My babies of the 80's
Shout it out just one more time
For the generation that was all mine

We watched the wall fall down
Woke up early for Bozo the clown
MTV and Nick at Night
And I slept for the first time
Without the light
without the light
without the light

My Babies of the 80's
**Little girls in jelly shoes
got the ferris bueller blues**
My babies of the 80's
yes we could be something after all
Who knew yes we could be something after all
Who knew yes we would be something after all
Who Knew

That's a cool song. I wasn't born in the 80's, but I did grow up in the 1980's. I was a 1980's child! That was a great decade. I was born in 1978. I was only 15 months old in January 1980.

Yea that is funny but bright colors are coming back in style. I think the music is coming back, the type of side ways ponytail(not nearly as extreme), you can collect like CareBears and My Little Ponies now, leg warmers, off the shoulder tops, i think about everything but bright make up and poka dots

Let's hope day-glo clothing doesn't come back in fashion.

That's a great song, thanks for sharing it. I was raised in the 80's, but born in the 70's

Born in '83. I loved the 80's. So many of my fave shows/movies are from that time. And all the kids show rocked! Now all the kids show are so computerized. I hate those 3D cartoons. So not cartoons.

Yeah, the cartoons were so great back in the day. I dislike most of the newer cartoon series too.

Like Z, I was born in the 70s, but raised in the 80s.

I completely agree! Kids of today may call our brand of cartoons outdated, but to me, they were the original!

Hey Maxi. It's been awhile since I've been on the Anne thread.

Did you guys watch Captain Planet? My sister and I LOVED that show. So exciting and pro-environment too! Or Denver the Last Dinosaur? And Care Bears, and Garfield and Friends. Oh, I'm getting all nostalgic now.

I was born in 1979, but I remember the eighties like it was yesterday. So many of my childhood memories come from the music, television shows, etc. and I am so glad that there a lot of references to this decade. I still wear 80s gear sometimes and it is nice to see that a lot of stuff had when I was growing up is coming back.

I wasn't born in the 1980s, but I consider myself an '80s child because the largest portion of my childhood took place in the '80s.
