LOS ANGELES (AFP) - Irish star Colin Farrell, fresh off his big-screen turn as Alexander the Great, is set to make his US television debut in the hit sitcom "Scrubs," the industry press said.

The 28-year-old star of the critically-unacclaimed "Alexander" will guest star in a role to which he is accustomed, as an unruly Irishman, in an episode to be aired in the United States on January 25, Daily Variety said.

Bad-boy Farrell's primetime bow is the result of his friendship with Zach Braff, the star of the tongue-in-cheek show about a the life of hospital doctors.

The role marks Farrell's first foray onto the small screen since his role in the British TV series "Ballykissangel" in 1998-99

Can't wait to see him on Scrubs. It's a funny show.

Thanks for the news Hybrid! I don't normally watch Scrubs, but I will for Colin!

Colin was great on SNL!

I didn't care much for some of the skits though. They could have given him better material to work with.

I saw Colin on Scrubs tonight. He was so good! Looking good also, love the hair. And THE ACCENT.. Gosh that accent. He should make a movie where it's just him talking for 2 hours.

Sometimes his irish accent can a little hard to understand when he talks really fast though i'm all for a movie with him doing commentary as well as acting in it.

It can be a bit tough to understand, but for some reason that makes him even cuter!

Hee i know right, his accent is really cute, makes me wish i had an accent like him or an American, British, or Australian one, i think those accents are really nice.

I guessed so, no wonder they sound so natural with their British accents. Colin has attempted a British accent too on one of his SNL skits.
