Nope..i have an older brother too. She gave up on him awhile back because he's so used to his freedom but not me. I always had to be with her even though she was always busy with church...its complicated!

Colin's mum seems really cool though, and he seems to be really close to her since he's always bringing her with him when he goes out in public or to premieres. So envious. *sigh*

Here's my first rant.

Our schedules for work come out on Wednesdays. Sometimes it's a little later on Thursday. Well, last Wednesday [Dec. 22nd] I had to work in the morning. I went into work, and I got my schedule and seen that my supervisor [Lisa], had scheduled me to work on New Year's Day. Well, I had requested that day off months ago, and it was written down plain as day. Lisa came into work a few hours later, and I brought this up to her. I told her that I could not work because I would be out of town, and she was fine with it. No problems, I didn't have to work New Year's Day.

That was the end of the conversation, nothing more was said and I left work that day. I had the rest of the week off all the way up to yesterday [Dec. 29th]. Or so I thought.

Tuesday I went out of town because I had the day off [or was supposed to] and did some shopping and all kinds of other things. My cell phone had died the night before, so I left it at home to charge the battery. I came home and turned my phone on and I had 3 voicemails from work. "It's 10am you are now two hours late. Where are you?" I FLIPPED out.

Apparently, Lisa changed the schedule after I left the night of the 22nd. I was out of town for the holiday, and she did not even have the decency to give me a call and let me know that she changed the schedule. Needless to say, I was pissed beyond comprehension.

And the story doesn't end there. I get to work yesterday and Lisa says to me "Oh didn't you know you had to work yesterday?" so I said "Umm.. no.. nobody told me." and can you believe she had the NERVE to say to me "Well that's why you should check the schedule in the breakroom too." Now, normally I would not say anything and just ignore her, because Lisa is the type of person that will blame everybody but herself when something goes wrong, but I couldn't take it anymore and I had to say something. I said to her "I'm sorry, but I was out of town the entire week. I checked the schedule in the break room before I left during my last shift before leaving town. The schedule I had was the schedule in the break room. You changed the schedule the next day and did not even tell me. I am not a mind reader you know." she said nothing more about it, and the manager had a talk with her yesterday about her lack of scheduling skills.

You go girl for standing up for yourself! Especially since she's being a like bitch to you. Unfortunately, that's what I failed to do when I was being pushed around in school most of the time. *sigh*

Yeah. I will always say something back if I'm getting pushed around. That is the last thing someone wants to do to me. I get that from my mother she's really independant and stands up for herself and it has seemed to rub off on me.

The fact that I absolutely detest my job makes me that much tougher.

My job gets very rough at times. I work making designs and stationary and copies in a portion of Office Max called "Copy Max".

The funny thing about my job is, I just hate Copy Max. I had to work the day after Thanksgiving, which I was absolutely dreading at first because I thought that I would be stuck in Copy Max all day long. But instead I got to stay in the actual Office Max portion and I had an absolute blast.

The problem is, I don't really like being told what to do. I'd much rather be the one calling the shots. In Copy Max I cannot do that. I have to stand there all day and do everything the customer tells me to do. When I got to stay up front I took it upon myself to go and give orders. Which I feared would get me in trouble with the managers, but it actually impressed them quite a bit. When we get a compliment or do something good in our job performance we will get a little ticket that gives you extra time on your lunch break and whatever else. I got three of those tickets that day for "Reason: Leadership Skills"

I was proud.

Yeah it felt great. But then I had to go to work the next day back to the place I hate.

I just got a full carwash tonight after work and now it's raining!! Just my luck.
