| Canadian Thread: at least Colin's keepin us warm... It's bloody frigid around here these days! At the risk of sounding cheesy (and spreading exaggerations of the Canadian winter) thought I'd start a thread for some of us to exchange tips on avoiding frostbite--preferably with thoughts of Mr. Farrell... | Don't throw anything at me please, but it's not too bad in Toronto, it's been relatively "warm" in Toronto this week. But hey, this IS Canada and we Canadians go out in shorts and a t-shirt in like 5 degree weather. | Another Canadian here! I'm from Toronto too (or around there anyway). I first discovered Colin in American Outlaws... didn't go head over heals right away, though. I'm more for the underdog kinda thing (even though he was lesser known, still main star... and i had this thing for will mccormack), so when I saw him in minority report it clinched it! Plus how hot is he in that?! And yea i remember hearing about him doing movies with big names like hart's war and i remember thinking 'good for him'. Now it's full blown colin love for me! Ooh hey, do you think it's possible that colin would come to canada on a film shoot? If perhaps he does a movie that is partially (or god help us, fully) shot in Canada and he would want to stick around here... plus it'd be a whole new herd of women to go after, so i'm sure he'd look at is as a favourable situation! | Hi, Claire! Actually, your description of coming across Farrell is similar to mine, but it was clinched as a combination of The Recruit and finally seeing Tigerland. I would love for him to come back! I can't believe I missed him during the film festival, my best friend's restaurant hosted a few events and she even had free passes to some films! | Hey Colin's already been in Toronto... I know cause it was the reason I got into Colin. My friend Sonia constantly showed me pics of him and even showed me a pic of them shooting a movie. I'm not sure if it was The Recruit or not, this was only last year so it may have been a different movie... she didn't get to see them filming cause they kept all the onlookers a bit back, but she thinks it might have been The Recruit. I remember her mentioning that Colin and his friends were mentioned in the Toronto Sun... apparently Colin and his friends were mooning people through a restaurant window [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] My name is Amanda by the way, another Ontarian... more South I think than everyone here [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] If you don't know already, Colin's episodes of Ballykissangel are airing now! his debut 'Par from the Course is on right now'. | I don't know about any interviews where he has mentioned his stay in Canada... I'm sure there must be one out there. As for coming back, maybe. He went to a few screenings at the Toronto Film Festival last year I think... *edited to add* I just missed a very Colin centric ep of Ballykissangel tonight! damn boyfriend... He was at the 25th & 27th TIFF  link in case the pics doesn't show Phone Booth heralded a pleasing change of pace from Joel Schumacher. The Batman & Robin director took one setting, a Times Square phone booth, and sustained the tension throughout a sleazy publicist's battle of wits with a sniper.
