I found the episode really boring but I'll give it one or two more episodes. The only characters I found remotely interesting were Violet and Cooper.

Pete and Addison constantly refering to their kiss reminded me of Derek and Meredith talking about the bar. Also, the whole Naomi and Addison "be my somebody" thing was too close to Christina and Meredith's "you're my person" thing. I think the show needs to distance itself from Grey's if they want to succeed and not reword important GA moments and use it on PP.

I liked tonight's episode. I think the show will definitely get better as the characters develop. Cooper & Violet are the best part of the show for me.

It was okay. There was some boring bits here and there. I actually thought the little teaser we got back in the spring was much better. But I think it'll improve once the characters are fleshed out a bit more.

That said, I'm loving Cooper. He's hilarious. And Charlotte is a bad ass. Addison rocked, obiously. I also preferred the other chick that played Naomi. She had more flavor and personality to her. Plus I thought she had better chemistry with Kate. This new gal is kinda blah to me.

Well, it is hard to determine if you truly like a show in just one episode b/c honestly... even after the pilot... these characters and the place are just being introduced to us.
I feel like the show will most definitely evolve and along with it so will the people. I am liking the different people, and although at first the atmosphere was weird (no hospital?!?! only one patient a day?!?!) I decided that it worked.

The show is not Grey's 2.0 and it is not supposed to be, so I think the best thing to do is to go in to watch it as a different show... if I (or anybody else for that matter) make comparisons to Grey's I am setting myself up to be disappointed.

It's funny the Pilot for GA didn't win me over. It wasn't til the second episode when I became a fan. With PP I was kinda really happy with the teaser back at the end of last season GA and I loved the premiere. Ofcourse it had it's moments where nothing major happened...but, I like the chemistry between the characters.

I love Violet/Cooper...or The Stalkers. And I did enjoy the new Naomi...but, I missed Merrin.

I liked everything until Addison did her speech at the end. It bugged the crap out of me. I also prefer the other Naomi to this one. I love Cooper and Violet. They're the reason I watched in the first place.

I wasn't blown away by the pilot either. I think it was okay, but it wasn't Great. The problem is that I found all the characters to be just that, okay. Nobody really grabbed me, and Addison was supposed to be one of my favorite characters on GA. I prefer Merrin as Naomi, not the new lady, and Taye Diggs bugs me here, for some reason. I'm gonna hate it if Addison is paired up with Sam. I must say I like Violet and Cooper too. They were pretty much the highlight of the pilot.

But definitely, I'm tuning up to PP anyways.

I read the reviews on how so many people disliked the premire. BUT I actually tuned in (even though I'm getting to the point where I regularly miss GA) I really liked it.

I hated the dead guy/wife vs girlfriend over his sperm storyline

But other than that I felt it really showcased a good chunk of what their all about.

I too prefer the other Naomi, I don't remember her completely but I do remember he being better than this lady. Her and Taye have no chemistry. I know their suppose to be divorced but it's hard to even see that they were once married and in love.....their VERY blah.

I'm not a huge fan of the acupuncture(sp?) guy. Not even close to "hot" no Mc something there.

Taye is definitely hot and the other guy is nice looking. I find him more intriguing. I guess because he was the bad guy on Prison Break

well like I said before I loved the episode.. I loved the beginning and the end,, and the bits in between with addie .. and those with violet and cooper. Didnt like the dead men sperm storyline..

but I actually LOVED the speech Addison gave at the end and cracked up laughing at their response

and the dancing naked was an added bonus

I wasn't planning on watching, but I did and I wasn't impressed.

I liked Addison, for the most part. I still feel like they changed her character too much for the pilot (or, really, they changed her too much during the second half of Grey's season three). And I don't like this Addison as much as I liked season two/early season three Addison. She reminds me too much of Meredith-- and I like Meredith, but I like Meredith as Meredith and Addison as Addison.

I liked Violet and Cooper. And I like their potential. Though, I'd love it if a show did something like Addison/Cooper for once-- just because he's not the leading man type of guy normally. He's not the Derek that every show has, he's the other guy. And often I feel like the other guy is the better guy, the more entertaining guy, etc. Pete/Addison feels like reheated season one MerDer to me-- and considering I've never been too into MerDer, I can definitely say I'm not into this either. For once I'd like the leading man to not be the 'arrogant but in a way that's still sexy' (though I don't find it sexy in either Derek or Pete), charming, pseudo-sensitive guy. I'd like it to be the nice guy or the funny guy...for once. It would be original.

Pete, Midwife boy, Sam, and Naomi don't really interest me too much. So far they're pretty bland.

It's still early to judge, but I don't think that was a very good premiere episode. I think it could've used a little less drama, better actors for the patients, and not so much Grey's-esque stuff. Really, I think that if Shonda had to go ahead with this spinoff, then she should've taken her time and planned it out more thoroughly. Maybe kept Addie on Grey's for another season, or half a season at least, giving her time to really develop another show and make it more different from Grey's. It all feels too rushed to me.



For a general episode, this would probably rate at 6.5/10 for me. As a premiere, I'd rate it as a 4/10. But since it was the pilot and everything's still new and pilot's are rarely that good compared to the later episodes, I'll give it a 7/10.

Don't know if I'll care enough to be back next week... don't know if I'm going to care enough to watch Grey's every week this year even...

I really enjoyed the premiere tonight. Loved Addison of course, in addition to Charlotte and Violet The guys were pretty funny. Chris' character really grew on me, he did a good job. I loved Addison's speech at the end

I didn't really feel the premiere either. Everything felt a little forced to me. I'll tune in for another week or two and see how things go, but I'm not that into it.

I don't think Marti Noxon can be trusted to run a show by herself

well the first episode of greys didnt win me over either.. so didnt the pilot of Veronica Marks or lost or other shows

so guys.. give this show a chance.

I think the expectations for the show were SO HIGH that everyone thought that this show had to be perfect in every way to be worth watching.. there was a lot of promotion.. and of course since its a spin off... the opnions are different from the very start

For a premiere I think the the episode was okay.. I loved the beginning and the end. the middle part was a little boring but I am sure the next episodes will be better

and of course Addison changed. I can relate to that. She left everything and moved to another city, no emotional package, no Meredith and her ex husband in front of her eyes... she seems more free

altough the part in the middle with pete and the pregnant girl... yeah I admit that she reminded me a bit of Meredith in a non good way and I hope it was the first and the last time we saw Addison like this.

But all in all I think the show is worth watching. I hope Shonda will make it more different from Greys and I really disliked the naomi (my person ) part because that was so greays and Shonda should knew better than that, but other than that I loved it and its so good to see Amy Brenneman, Paul Adelstein and Kate Walsh again on a weekly basis
