yes the did and also with 11 and Clara. So glad that they didn't try to do anything romantic with 12. I guess they must think that people must be interested in a Doctor romance or they wouldn't continue to do it. I don't know why they think that though. Everyone I talk to about Doctor Who isn't interested in the Doctor/Companion romance storylines.

I think I read somewhere that Peter wasn't too keen with a romance plot with the companion so they never did it during his run.

Yeah it's not a big deal for me. I'd rather not deal with seeing Doctor involved with a human. If they'll go that route, that's fine. As long as it doesn't appear that it's all the Doctor is bothering with.
