Summer is June - August in the US. But for us it really starts in April but we don't count it as Summer because the Northern US has a Spring. We don't really have Spring or Fall where I live.

HAHA! Amy. You're used to the warm weather anyway?

Petra, Amy lives in Texas.

Yes I am very used to the warm weather I still dread summer though

I think it snows regularly in the panhandle of Texas but I live along the Gulf Coast so I am too far south for that.

I guess all of us are used to the warm weather.

Amy, does it usually snow there, like yearly?

I think it does in the northern section of the panhandle because it's 600-700 of miles north from me depending on what part of the panhandle you travel to. It takes 9+ hours to get there. Texas is HUGE.

Wow, your country is HUGE. But I expect when it's summer a lot of people go there then, to get some cold weather?

Honestly the majority of the traveling here is done for the opposite reasons. A lot of the people in the north travel south for winter because their winter will be mild then and they travel north for summer so they will have milder summer than if they stayed in the south. People seem to want more even temperatures here - not too cold or too hot.

Yeah I prefer mild as well but we don't travel for weather reasons. It's usually only retired people who can do that

The East coast/West coast time difference also makes the country huge. Russia has 9 time zones compared to US which has 6.

Which states have snow every year round?
