I think it would have been nice to have seen him continue playing the Doctor for at lease one more season.

I don’t think there is any actor that wants to break Tom Backer run as the Doctor.

Well he played the Doctor for like 7 or 8 years. I think most actors would be worried about getting type casted if they played a role for long.

That's true. Although some actors, especially on some American TV shows, don't mind.
