Just gave Torchwood a second chance and watched ep 1. Last time I watched it I had no knowledge of Doctor Who so I felt there was too much stuff crammed into it, but yesterday I really enjoyed it!

It's not that I thought it wasn't good in itsself, but the first time I saw it a friend showed it to me and she thought I knew Doctor Who. I had the impression I was missing a lot so I started watching Doctor Who and just binge watched all the seasons that were on Netflix at that time and forgot about Torchwood.

yeah i know what you mean. in terms of timing, we didn't watch it at same time when both shows were on. it's not as easy to link things together.

See that does make sense and with these shows you can miss a lot if you dont know what is going on . Yep an i get forgetting about the other show cause they are two separate shows

Nope and this show wasn;t really intended to be 100% linked to DW it was meant to be all about Jack and Torchwood

I just started to watch s2 after finishing s1. At the end of S1 we hear the TARDIS and when Jack returns in the first ep of s2 he mentions meeting the Doctor.

Is there a movie or something in between? Or was that just a reference to a Doctor Who episode? (Maybe the one with the Master, who didn't know who he was at first?)

Jack just returned from the events from Doctor Who's episode "Last of the Time Lords" (series 3 - episode 13).

Sure, I plan to watch it till the end.

At the moment I'm watching a couple of episodes per week, but if you want to discuss every ep with a fixed schedule (like one per week or whatever), I can slow down. (I have enough other stuff to watch.)

edit:

And thanks, MsPerfectionist!
