I think they did a good job with the pilot. I loved how they told it from Gwen's POV and her finding Torchwood again after the amnesia pill was an interesting twist. I also liked how they reminded us of Jack's story without rehashing everything. Also the Torchwood team has interesting characters, the only one I don't really care for is Owen.

Nice yeah it was a good recap , i dont mind owen but it takes time to actually like him.

One thing that stands out for me is how dark this show was compared to Doctor who i remember being so shock when i first watched it

Yeah, me too! And there's much darker episodes than the pilot. I sometimes wonder if they're trying too hard to make a dark show for adults.

(Btw, the German FSK rated season 2 of new Who suitable for 16 year olds and older, but all the other seasons have a FSK12 rating.)

yeah that is what i thought to Doctor who all ages , Torchwood for adults , Sarah Jane for kids so they tick all the boxes back than

Wow season 2 16+ i wonder why it wasnt darker than the rest ??

I'd have to rewatch to find out. Maybe because of the two-parter with Satan? Was Blink in s2 too?

blink was in season 4 but the Satan's pit was seasom 2 with Rose.

Will probably do a rewatch of who later on to if you are up to it Torchwood only has 4 seasons so it will be quick

my break down part 1

rain - dead body - already a darker show

love Gwen and her friend i forgot his name he was such a good character

Gwen already curious and wanting to know what is happening , is she a newbie at this point ?.

Torchwood gets called it , it is interesting how they have such a big pull for such a small organisation .

Jack talking about once being pregnant

ok jack

susan wasn't in the show long , poor thing . Love that Glove a powerful weapon indeed loved the effects with the rain stopping .

When Jack looks up and yells what do you think , i got so scared that he saw Gwen

a nice introduction to Reece i did like him

It is interesting that no one question torchwood they just let it be and move on with their lives and its only gwen asking and questioning things.

Torchwood headquarters is a smart location

On the WHO-rewatch: I currently started to rewatch the last couple of s2 episodes because I'm listening to D4WH (a Who-podcast) and they're discussing an episode every other week. They're probably in s4 when we're finished with Torchwood. If we're starting a rewatch of WHO s1 then I'll probably at least join to rewatch s1 and s2 completely because I've just skipped that.

Part two break down

i adore reece and gwen another fav couple of mine

i love how they used cardiff landmarks to hide torchwood very smart.

Gwen looking for them and using the pizza space was smart . Using torchwood as a name come on Owen

Gwen coming to deliver the pizza's than going into torchwood headquarters , them trying to ignore her .

Love the Doctor's spare hand

they were looking at her as she was outside for 3 hours!!

I like that Gwen knew they would do something to her she kept asking them

she is smart

Susan is 2nd in command interesting

loved jack taking her through the lift that no one can see it , the perception filter ( they use it later on to )

I love how us humans try and explain how things work when the aliens attack stuff , some type of drugs

Torchwood not government funded , outside the united nations not part of the police a big deal

Part 3

Torchwood team drugging Gwen to forget is scary but it makes sense to keep their secret

No one allowed to keep stuff from Torchwood but the team do

Different Torchwood is interesting very interesting maybe number 4 will pop up with a new team and Jack

Gwen way to smart for the team

torchwood is a new thing , for new who . They mentioned in in season 2 to get ready for this show .
