That was rather crazy in my book as well... they could have given us more. The reasons given behind them doing that were not very good...

Maybe but that is still a lousy reason for the BBC to only do a few episodes that year. If David wanted to leave, he should have left and not bothered artificially stretching out his reign like that, with so little reward for the fans.

I think that could of been a reason saying that we could of got longer episodes it just felt very cheap we got stolen a season

And there was nithing really special about the so-called 'specials', arguably not including his last TV story, The End of Time 2-parter.

I really liked Waters of Mars. I'd have preferred to have more episodes, even if it wasn't a full series.
