For hurricanes you get used to them and they don't scare you as much lol. I'm more scared of tornadoes and earthquakes because there isn't a warning. I have time to evacuate for a hurricane.
well im not a part timer i have been at my previous job this one i have now is just casual but i get consistent shifts cause i am a supervisor

well to be honest any natural disasters are scary to me

Petra, job hunting is hard. If it was easy, we'd probably be in and out of jobs all the time.

Amy, exactly. With storms, we get time to prepare. Earthquakes, no warning (at least we don't get tornadoes here). I've already experienced 2 earthquakes this year.

Lindsay so sorry that you have storms and earthquakes there Hope you don't have anymore earthquakes for a long time. Or storms either!

Petra I bet you would do fine if you ever had to evacuate

Petra, I don't think earthquakes happen that often in Australia. In Japan I heard there's earthquakes there everyday. Some of them very minor so we don't feel them.

Amy, it's impossible not to have a storm here every year, we're right smack in the Pacific ocean. But earthquakes, that one I really am scared of. So far these earthquakes have been very quick so most times I thought I was just dizzy but then you realize why some things are shaking and that's when it hits you.

Any plans this weekend for you two?

yer we dont get any earthquakes thanks to us being on top of a plate but we have had little studders . we get flooding in Queensland cause it rains a lot and Melbourne usually get bush fires we are more known for that due to hot summer days and our tree can catch the fire really easy so bush fires is very common or if some idoit intentionlly lights a fire when we have a ban on fires

plans not really besides work you?

Petra, what are bushfires? Is that the same as forest fires in the U.S.? We don't get that. But you also get cyclones there right although not as frequent as us over here? I'm going to dinner tonight but tomorrow is a lazy day for me so staying in.

Amy, good luck on your son's baseball game. I can never for the life of me understand baseball (and American football).

It was busy but not to bad lol .. i hope your kid has fun

Lindsey bushfires are when the heat gets so hot it starts to smoke and when you are in the country it gets really dry here so smoke cause easily catch onto a branch and just keep spreading through all our bush ( lots of tress but in a dry climate cause its been hot) and it spreads kills crops farm lands animals etc it gets bad us Australian know about it and we get restrictions not to have BBQ or use any fire during summer cause it can happen so easily and quickly ..

We do get cyclones not as common our big ones are bushfires and foodings

Yikes, OMG that sounds really scary. And there's no warning for that, it just happens right?

Petra hope the fires aren't bad this summer for you.

Lindsay it's fall ball so it's really relaxed. They don't even keep score so it's more for fun and exercise.
