It's been eased hugely. Shops, restaurants and pubs are open. Those that were shielding no longer have to etc. Leisure centres, Soft Play centres, Bowling Alleys etc. are still closed, though. They were meant to open on Saturday but because certain areas have seen a rise in cases, all further easing of restrictions for the country has been postponed, and in concern areas, some restrictions are back in place. There's also been talk of re-closing pubs so that it'll be more viable to open schools in September (official summer holidays right now).

Less than 1000 confirmed new cases a day last I checked, but they think that means it's probably about 4000, because not everyone is being tested. Deaths are down though. Kind of have to be cautious right now as certain parts of Europe seem to be entering second waves.

People were complaining about the government reintroducing quarantine measures for Spain etc. as if it isn't necessary right now.

It's kind of hilarious. The people complaining about lockdowns and quarantines being reimposed in some areas/for some countries are the same ones that were complaining about lockdown being eased too soon. They can't have it both ways.

no not really , i assume this virus wont go away anytime soon , like all big flus it will last a few years which i hope doesn't happen but it might
