Went out for dinner last night for the first time since March. An experience. Hand sanitiser at the entrance. The usually self-serve salad bar being served by staff, refillable drinks also being refilled by staff when you'd usually do it yourself. Tables being left empty to maintain social distance. Have to book and can't go in the restaurant until 5 minutes before your booking time. Floor markings so you know where to queue if you have to wait to be seated etc.

The tables being further apart meant the meal was more peaceful. The one way system in the restaurant made it so much easier to move around when we needed to. No self serve salad bar makes it fairer for everyone and much more hygienic etc.

So we had a restriction put back in place today. We now can't meet in groups of more than 6 people, outside of specific government-approved circumstances in COVID secure venues. There's been a rise in cases in young people, and they're now whining about being "blamed" for the spike in cases. Also today - quote from a new uni student on the radio "social distancing is hard and house parties are going to be a norm."
Idk, man, it's almost like they are part of the problem. |

It's just appalling that the people whining on social media about being blamed for the spike are the same ones making idiotic statements like that.
Luckily my volunteer job is considered an essential service now, so we can continue with COVID-secure meetings. |

They're resilient, but it's been a lot, so our still being able to meet will help them so much. Just glad we have a space big enough for social distancing to be possible.
