Petition We Want Christopher Eccleston For The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary

The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary is coming to our television sets in 2013. As of this writing, Christopher Eccleston has been quoted as saying he will not make a return to the series by stating, "No, never bathe in the same river twice.”

I did not grow up with the old series of Doctor Who. I started watching not to long ago when Netflix brought it to instant streaming. I started watching, like most, with Christopher Eccleston as my first Doctor. After watching the entire series up to this point, I maintain the fact that Eccleston is MY Doctor, and I know it is the same for many more out there.

In the hopes that this may make its way to Mr. Eccleston, I would like any, and all who feel his return to the series for just this special occasion would be greatly appreciated. And even after the Anniversary is over and done, if he doesn't decide to make an appearance, at least he would now that his short duration on the series mean a lot to the names of his fans on this petition.

I'm all for Chris Eccleston reprising his role as the Ninth Doctor, if only he would do it. For what it's worth, I've signed your petition, guess we'll see if it helps to change his mind.

Tbh I would only really want him back if Tom, Peter, Colin, Sylv, Paul and David were all up for returning. I wasn't a massive fan tbh. David has said he'd do it in a heartbeat, Tom has said he wouldn't do it (But this is Tom we're talking about), Peter would do it as would Sylv, Colin hasn't said much on it and Paul is reluctant. I'll still sign it though...

I just signed it Don't know how effective this could be but like I'm all for Chris on the special.

He is a big part of Doctor who, and was the first Doctor of the new era, and was wonderful at it. I will be really sad if he is not on it, as I will be if any of the living Doctors miss it too

I'd be sad if we don't get the maximum living Doctors- I'm fairly sure we'd get at least 3 (Davison, Mccoy and Tennant) Colin looks a lot different to when he played the role, Eccleston is against it, Paul McGann doesnt want to do it and Tom is, well, Tom
