I think the Easter special came from David wanting a year off from doing a season so they agreed to specials for a year instead, then he left anyway

I'm bummed that there haven't been any Christmas Specials since "The Many Husbands of River Song". It's been a tradition, but none with Ms. W. Yes, yes, I know: The BBC is so far left, they may be avoiding any Christmas recognitions at all. Or it might be the show runners, directors, and producers.

Still...... something ain't right over there.

Kind of hilarious to see the claim about the BBC being "far left" when the boycott over the election coverage is about them being too far right. Seems they can't win

They're not avoiding Christianity. They have a ridiculous amount of Christmas specials for so many other shows. DW being New Year instead of christmas, iirc, was not the BBC's choice, but the show's.

Tbh I kinda don't. There's always so much on at Christmas here.
