Just watched this short behind the scenes video for this episode and I gotta say I loved the bit about the slap.



"There's a little note in the script from Steven Moffat where it says 'River song smacks Vastra away', just a bracket; 'good luck, Neve' and I discovered exactly what he meant..."

I watched it yesterday and it made me laugh too . It was also nice to see Neve and Alex laughing about it but yeah, the funniest part was Steven's "good luck, Neve) on the script

It reminded me of Confidential for The Impossible Astronaut when Alex had to slap Matt, on multiple takes too

I agree. To me it looked like they really liked each other. Clara looked at her dreamily and impressed right away and River tried to talk her out of sacrificing her life. And i do hope that we will get more of them together. River never said that she didn't know who Clara was, Vastra only assumed.

Exactly, apart from Clara's surprise because she never knew who River really was despite having heard references to her, they got on really well. River kept her significance to the Doctor rather vague, apart from revealing that she knew the name and even then she shrugged it off to give an impression of it being due to her making him tell her instead of what it really is, the biggest act of trust the Doctor could ever make.

She wasn't looking to impress Clara or intimidate her, she was looking to help and Clara fully accepted said help. Clara's questions about River to the Doctor was always in a curious - need the full story - kind of way.

It's always refreshing when there is no jealousy, and thankfully River has never had a jealousy-encounter with another companion. Clara seemed to respect her, Amy liked her right off the bat and teamed up with her to tease the Doctor, and Donna was just her usual brilliant self.

Just because I made River reaction gifs doesn't mean I was basing those tags in reference to Clara. Because I like Clara and so does River apparently, so why would I talk crap about her?

I only thought those River reaction tags were funny (and apparently so do alot of other people). Those are merely for people to use if they'd like to.
Plus a couple of those gifs were requested by people.
