Nope still don't buy it I will believe it if he signs up to the 50th. If he signs up, then I'll believe him and just put it down to not getting on with directors etc. Otherwise, I'm sticking with the typecasting...

I think it was confirmed recently that Chris really won't be in the 50th special?

Yep. Moffat went to see him personally to be in it, but Chris said no

The fandom could have exploded jkashdf. And it's sad because he's the one who helped bring back the show and look at it now - the biggest it has been and he's not gonna be in it.

Christopher will always be the Doctor who broke my heart. He's my favorite but it saddens me that he refuses to return even for a cameo.

But no it doesn't imo. He says 'Oh I left cos of a principle, didn't like how the production team treated the cast and crew etc etc'. Okay, right, so you leave the show. Fair enough. But its a different production team now. He could surely show up and do a cameo at the bare minimum. And this 'principle' doesn't explain why he doesn't do fan conventions or meet and greets with Doctor Who fans. Its just baffling.

I've heard conflicting stories about this. Fact is, he did meet up with Moffat more than once to discuss it. The story I've heard, is he asked to have more time to think about it, which wasn't given to him, resulting in him declining. Obviously those are just rumours, but either way, it's sad how it turned out.

there are so many reasons i think he just wasnt as happy as how it was done .. adn it hurts cause the 50th having him in it would of been "fantastic" yep i used that word he could of just did a voice over i would of been happy with that surprise

The story I heard, was he did get time to think but still declined. I'm hoping the stories are wrong, not because I like his Doctor as I really don't, but if they have somehow managed to surprise us with bringing back all the classic Doctors, it wouldn't be right without him from a personal and story stand point.

I'm sure he'll at least be mentioned. I love how they at least showed a glimpse of him in the finale.
