yeah I feel like the "impossible girl" storyline is the weakest of the series.

I think Petra mentioned it here that Jenna was included in Asylum of the Daleks so fans will get to see her/have a gauge that she'll be the companion as prior to S7, it was already announced that Jenna was replacing Karen & Arthur? I was late to watching New Who so I don't know the events of what happened that time.

It was already announced, we were told her first episode would be Christmas, but she showed up early. It was awesome.
