Yes, both S1/S2 are only 8 eps. I wish they'd put it on Netflix so more people can watch.

I think the idea with Victoria is for it to run for 6 series , but Jenna won't be in all 6 . I think they're doing something similar to The Crown , where they will get an older actress to play an older Queen Victoria . Nothing official has been said on this but I gather this is what they intend to do .

it might work but it depands on the pace of the show

That's good then. A chance for older actresses to take on a lead on a TV show.

It does seem like something likely, although when the show began, or rather before it started Daisy (The Creator) said she wanted to do a show about her early years on the throne, and thus far have been aging Jenna extremely well.

that is true and i dont think this show will be going on for a long time either

Yeah ITV doesn't do 10 seasons or even BBC either (except DW obviously). I don't think British TV usually have shows that stay as long as American TV shows.
