I haven't seen any of the Classics (and slowly watching the First Doctor too) but Rani seems to be a favorite.

Not really. She was only in 2 stories. But being another time lord who knew the doctor from the academy, same as the master, did leave a lot unsaid.

While the master thrived on death destruction and world domination, the Rani was more of a scientist, who experimented on any species with no compassion for her test subjects. Which the Doctor did not approve of. She of course saw him as more of a nuisance than an adversary.

Never on screen. But if the time lords all survived the time war she could still be alive.

yes we did, but there really wasn't a whole lot of interaction. I would love to meet another Time Lord that we could get to know over the course of several episodes or seasons. The way we really got to know The Master/Missy.
