Finale of Doctor Who Series 8 will be a two-parter, according to director Rachel Talalay.

The American director was previously announced to be directing two episodes
of Peter Capaldi’s first series, but exactly which two episodes she’d
be directing was not confirmed.

But now, according to Talalay’s new but unverified Twitter account\ (@RachelTalalay), the finale will consist of two episodes.

“Can’t believe it myself. taking lame-o selfies in the tardis. it’s finale.
2-parter. rest is top secret,” she tweeted.

So for fans missing two-part Doctor Who stories, this may be
something to look forward to.

Doctor Who Series 8 will air later in 2014 on BBC One.

Eve Myles has been cast in Broadchurch Series 2.

Myles, who previously played Gwen Cooper in Torchwood, will star alongside
David Tennant in the second series of the ITV crime drama.

Creator and writer Chris Chibnall said: “As if we didn’t have enough
fabulous actresses, it’s a thrill to be joined by Wales’s finest, Eve Myles.
Having worked together on Torchwood, it’s a joy to be
able to welcome her to Broadchurch.”

Chibnall also confirmed that filming will return to Dorset and North Somerset.

“We’re finally able to talk a little about preparations for the next series
of Broadchurch and confirm we’re coming back to film around
West Bay and Clevedon,” he said.

“We’re all thrilled about returning, especially given how supportive
the whole community was last time. And if the community are able
to keep our secrets as well as they did last time, we’ll be ever so grateful.”

Broadchurch Series 2 is expected to air late 2014/early 2015 on ITV.
