That's a pretty long time to be on a TV show. Now the limit seems to be 3 years.

I think we all talked about this before but British actors (these days) don't want to be tied down to a show for very long and wants to do other things like movies, plays, etc.

Same here. Some of our TV shows go on for far too long especially if the actor/actress is very in demand.
