I was wondering that, too. I mean, the silence kidnapped River so that she'd grow up to kill him. Will they finally get to him?

Btw...when you guys were talking about Jenny, did you mean that genetically engineered girl or Madame Vastra's wife? Jenny was 10's child and he only acknowledged her towards the end of the episode.

Yeah but he's an alien- he's not meant to be relatable to humans in that respect. If he fell in love with a fellow Time Lord, then fair enough, but when the Doctor is over 1200 years old, and his companions are in their 20s it just seems wrong. Plus 15 romantic encounters is just waaaaaaay to much. 1 was too many IMO.
It doesn't mater. Even if he were green and scaly, had four arms, five legs and two heads and snail eyes sicking out of his stomach, they'd still want to make him relatable. That's how we work. We like people we can relate to because that's how we understand one another. You're not going to want to spend time with someone you cannot relate with. So if they want to make a show, and more specifically, a character, appealing, they have to make him relatable in some way. It's basic psychology. And the truth is, the one thing everyone can relate to, is love.

And why is it wrong? He has he body of a 20 year old. There is, in my opinion, one major obstacle in the way of relationships with large age gaps: someone with an old body cannot keep up with someone with a young body in many respects and the younger person ends up having to care for someone who can't walk when they're still in their 40s or something. But if he has the body of a 20 something year old, problem solved.

And they weren't 15 romantic encounters, they were 15 kisses. There's a difference.

His new body will be in its 50's, so that's definitely a new dynamic to contend with.

I was watching the Disney Christmas Parade and when I saw Il Volo perform, I had a random thought. If Eleven were there, he'd want to play. After all, Mariachi band are cool! Everyone likes Sombreros!

I hate that I know (part) of what happens in the OUAT mid-season finale. I saw it before I started watching the show on Tumblr and now it's vivid in my mind. I wish I'd forgotten it.

As for Matt's departure... I'm not sure I'll be able to get myself to watch it tonight.

Yeah, I think we'll get DW sometime in August.

I still got half a season of OUAT to go and Sherlock is coming this January, and then everything else starts in March... and I have catching up to do on like 5 shows... so I think I'm set for a while.
