Yes, John Simm's Master would have been perfect as a running foil against the Capaldi Doctor, but sadly he (Simm) apparently was tired of the role and di not wish to be known for it anymore. Your right, Petra, once an actor does a high profile part for a series like Dr Who-especially nowadays-its with them for life. I can sort of see how that could annoy an actor but I also see how it could turn the fans away once they found out. Or not, as the case may be. Simm did a marvellous job as the evil Time Lord especially with his laughter, that it is hard to imagine his version of the Master is gone forever. Ah well, we still have the DvDs!

Okay, so I've been working on Doctor Who impressions, and I've been working on some for months, but last week I decided to record an impression of each Doctor to see what it sounds like. Some that I hadn't done before (McGann, McCoy) were horrific, but some were actually pretty good so I thought I'd post the ones that came out best.
