I'd highly recommend it. or at least a handful from each Doctor.
Just finished Resurrection of The Daleks. The story with the now infamous body count, the highest in the classic era, and modern too I think.... 65 dead! |

Continuing working through the 5th Doctor era with... Planet Of Fire Goodbye Turlough and Chameleon (probably the least liked/remembered companion, hello Peri and the Master returns once more! One of the better 5th Doctor stories. Just one more story left, the Doctor and Peri's trip to Androzani Minor.... |

I just ordered some classical Who on DVD. I hope the packages don't get Brexit-delayed or whatever

The second one has been announced to arrive tomorrow. Gosh, I hope the mailman doesn't interrupt me in a meeting to check my age. (Basicly if you buy a video that isn't dubbed, it doesn't have the German pg-rating so there's sometimes ridiculous age checking.) |

* No grandstanding, no long speach, and no exploding TARDIS. Just a sacrifice from the Doctor, and 4 little words. Less is more. I wish the modern show would take this approach. |

Yeah, it was interesting to see a less colorful regeneration scene, but there's also a lot of improvement if you compare that to New Who - and not just the visual effects. It was fun to watch nonetheless!

It is fun to see how far the show has come in terms of props, special effects and such. It's such a stark contrast but I love how each era has done the best they could with what was available at the time

I disagree. The modern show has it's own issues. You can criticise the classic era for having men in rubber suits as Monsters, but I would counter with some of the questionable CGI in the modern show. I also don't like the wacky/hyperactive nature that has become part of the modern shows DNA since Tennat.
And don't don't get me start on the Doctor/Rose romance. Firstly, he's an alien, and secondly, robbing the cradle doesn't begin to descibe it. Kinda makes the marriage between J. Howard Marshall and Anna Nicole Smith seem acceptable by compaison! |

It's the age gap. lol The 7th Doctor gave his age as 953 in Time And The Rani, and that was 2 regenerations before me met Rose!
