that was a nice surprise i have kind of forgot that shes leaving only cause im not surprised last year when they said i was sad but one more final season with her is nice .. i would love a little scene in the christmas like with 11 doctor and the ponds in the widow and the wardrobe that was a sweet scene

I kind of assumed she wouldn't still be around at Christmas, tbh Still pretty convinced that River is being used as a stand-in companion so they have longer to replace her.

It was confirmed a while back. I doubt it'll be permanent, though.

Thankfully it wont be permanent, no I am definitely not a River fan. Or of Series Six either. That pushed the limits of me being fan. The wait for Series Seven, when I jumped back on board, was a long one.

fair enough river will never be permeant thats for sure see season 7 started good than went downhill

River can't really ever be permanent considering the story. I just can't see it working considering the alternate timeline thing etc.

Mine you they love screwing with the time line so maybe when River first met the Doctor she was just another companion and spent some time with him before deciding to leave?

Do we really know their early history from River's POV?
