Well that sucks. And is good I guess if you are embarrassed. I remember the first fanfic I wrote. Let some guy on-line read it. He wrote back: "Needs work" ... put me off to the whole thing for years.

I was lucky with my first fanfic (as therrrible as it was) that I had a really nice older friend online who kinda walked me through it and wasnt harsh or anything.

Oh, I adore Holly Gilmore. She makes the most wonderful Buffy videos in the world, and doesn't have tons of special effects or fast cuts to make it good, they're just brilliant.

I absolutely agree! I much prefer simple yet brilliantly edited vids over those really flashy ones with about a million effects, transitions and filters thrown in. The simple ones are always much stronger emotionally

I totally agree. There are some really "well-made" vids out there, but they always lack emotional resonance, even when they're shippy videos. Brilliantly edited but simple videos really pack that punch to the gut. I love her AUs so much. I've been known to forget whether something was canon or in one of her vids before!

ETA: Oh my God, that was so brilliant. I've watched SO many videos to that song, but that was... wow. First fanvid to ever make me cry. Well done.
