The ones I have read are very good and would work well, with some adjustment, as televised episodes. For example, the Tenth Doctor run sets up alternate adventures taking place after he says goodbye to Donna in Journey's End. I find that fascinating.

That is a wonderful picture! Rose was my first modern companion (I started as you may know, with the Eccleston-Piper run in 2006 here in the US) and I did over time enjoy seeing her adventures and was devastated when she left in Doomsday. I moved on with the eventual addition of Karen Gillan-and Matt Smith-only to face that same loss again when both were written out. This is one reason why I generally was not as into Series Eight as with previous series. *shrugs* When I fall, I fall pretty hard.
