Yeah, me either. The thought of having a kid you can't give back when it spits up on you? Bleurgggh. Plus, babies kind of hate me and always cry because I don't hold them properly.

I just can't see the Doctor and Rose settled down with a kid. Even without the TARDIS, I'd imagine that they'll still be doing something (such as working at Torchwood) that isn't exactly kid-friendly.

Exactly. They'll still be risking their lives day after day. And they won't be able to sit still, either. Going on endless roadtrips, flying to the other end of the world and then hiking to places no man has set foot on before... Yeah, that would all go great with an infant tagging along.

Yeah, I'd imagine having a kid kind of curbs your "let's go to the Alps!" spur-of-the-moment trips. And I can't see the Doctor facing down his foes in any serious matter, while having a child complain that he needs the toilet. It would kind of ruin any threat the man has.

Best post!JE fic I've read so far. This was. Pretty much exactly how I'd like them to be.

Who knew fics could be SO therapeutic

Oh, it's amazing how fics help you resolve your issues. I read one before- all my problems with Journey's End? Pretty much sorted. As long as I accept it as my canon, of course.

Reading now. Oh, I LOVE her fic so much (though sometimes it makes me feel like I need a very thorough shower). Though I really should be sleeping. Whatever.

You could always save some fics in a textfile so you can read them offline (noooooo..... I absolutely do not have experience with this, why do you ask.... )

Oh, I've got a whole folder dedicated to fics. My very favourite Doctor Who fics, Friends fics, Veronica Mars fics... it's for when my Internet doesn't work and I'm bored. I very rarely read them, so when it comes around to me needing them, I won't be sick to death of them.

I have my favourite fics saved in a folder, too and a bunch of other random fics that just seemed good at the time... I saved them all last year when we were moving and I knew I wouldn't have internet for about 2 weeks, so I stocked up on as many fics as possible

*is distracted by Val's icon*

*shakes self back to conciousness*

Life without the internet for two weeks? I suppose I'll have to live with it, though, because I'm going on holiday next week for a fortnight and I refuse to spend it on the internet. I know I'll give in after... an hour? But it's worth a try.

I know what that's like in those 2 internetless weeks, I suddenly started to appreciate other things a lot more, I actually did stuff and spent more time reading and drawing and the like... And I said to myself "Hey, this no-internet thing isn't half bad! Maybe once I do have internet again, I won't spend as much time on there as I used to and still keep doing the things I do now!" ..... HAH. my past!self wasn't very bright

I need to go to bed but I feel like I want to read one more fic before I go. Which shouldn't be hard to find, because there is literally new fic each time I refresh my friendspage on LJ. Insane. I love this fandom!

I have lots of fav fics saved on my laptop at home... I need to transfer them to a USB drive so I can take them with me!!

Oh. my. GOD. I just read this, and. Tears. I've got chills. And tears. And. WOW. OKAY. THIS IS MY NEW PERSONAL CANON. I DON'T CARE WHAT HAPPENS. THIS IS IT. YES.

Really, EVERYONE needs to go read this STAT. This is just so brilliant, I don't even know what to say.

For me it depends. If I'm on vacation then I'm generally fine without the internet. But when the internet is cut off from me...oh I will go crazy. I'll think of all these do I could be doing if I had the internet. Things I could look up. It's so annoying but I've never had that happen for an extended period of time. Like two-three days till I could get it fixed at most.

When I do have the internet I always think "Oh man, there's nothing to do on the internet."

Speaking of vacation I'm going on one next week and I honestly didn't plan it to be right after the series finale of Doctor Who but it luckily worked out that way. I would be completely distracted if I had gone if this episode aired while I was out of town.
