I think if Amy would have stopped traveling with the Doctor, Rory would have stopped too. Rory was always about Amy so I can't really see him traveling with the Doctor by himself for fun.

I completely agree.
Rory would only travel with the Doctor without Amy if there was a reason she wasn't there. __________________
