No what my point was is that you can picture it happening on screen and you can hear Matt delivering those lines- thats the sum of a good writer for Doctor Who- if you can hear and see in your minds eye them delivering the lines, unforced.

I really like it, specially in season 6, how they learnt to trust each other, in a way for me, it cleans the Doctor's karma with Mickey (to me at least, it always bothered me how the whole Rose/Doctor/Mickey thing went). It was about time the doctor had a male friend too! Rory earned the Doctor's trust and the Doctor earned Rory's and that's what I like there...

and now that Rory is the Doctor's father-in-law it makes it even more special too

I haven't watched the other seasons so I dunno
but I agree it's their trust for each other that's really wonderful. It's one of the reasons which I think made Rory's character develop. Yes there was doubt when they first met each other (again) because I mean let's face it. You wouldn't be that nice to the person who just kissed your fiancee but then again, they went passed that and became (do I dare) ...best mates. well at least, they trust each other.

Don't worry I have weird 'in-law scenarios' in my silly head too Yanina!
