You think he's going to clam up, but he just keeps talking and then he even makes some pretty amazing statements that are completely relevent to us! He needs to get his hats River approved! (I wonder if there are any she'd ever give her blessing to though? I wrote a fic a while ago about her not shooting a tiara off his head. I think I'd die of laughter if I ever saw anything like that on screen though. )

Just finished watching the premiere, I think I love these two even more

They are downright my favorite thing in all of Who! I'm still reeling from all the shippy goodness we got in this episode! I can't even list all of the good quotes, there are so many! Constant flirting, sexy time references, River's admission to Rory, and that was just in this ONE episode! We've still got the kiss, Easter Island, Joe the Fish, and The Doctor getting his own diary to come!



My shipper heart is on overdrive!

River talking to Rory was heartbreaking

Impressionable young girl, and suddenly this man just drops out of the sky, clever and mad and wonderful and knows every last thing about her. Imagine what that does to a girl. but on a happier note, I loved how she kept following him around the tardis, fixing what he was doing wrong

And what makes it even more heartbreaking is that she means a metaphorical death, but we all know it ends up being both.

I did love that scene where she goes behind him and fixes everything, though. And he totally pretends to not know she's doing it, but then relies on her later to have everything fixed. (Which, now that I just typed that, made me realize: he's 909 then, not 908, so I think they've done more together since "The Big Bang," because this Doctor doesn't continue directly from his 908 age, which was when Amy and Rory last saw him. Did that make sense?) So I wonder how much he's gotten to know her in that year?

I also loved when the Doctor ran into the Tardis and River goes "-sigh- everytime" and the Doctor's "River make her blue again!"

Yes! And when he totally knew she said she hated him, even though he couldn't have possibly heard her reaction from inside the TARDIS.
