Question: I would have chosen Leela but she would likely be dead by now after spending a lifetime on Gallifrey, wouldnt she? Speaking of the character and not the actress.

Well she's in an upcoming Time War audio series with John Hurt's War Doctor so she's alive at the time of the Time War so it depends on whether she survives that but it's possible...

Yeah, Leela could be alive.

Id love Ian or Susan to make an appearance.

I'd also love s male and female companion for the Twelfth Doctor.

True, she could have been granted an extended lifetime, as she has been in past audios and novels to do with Gallifrey, where of course the 4th Doctor left her at the end of The Invasion of Time.

Mainly because she never got a proper exit, and I feel something new and exciting could still happen with the character.

I'm about to start listening to the Big Finish Gallifrey series, after just getting up to date by listening to all 10 seasons of the absolutely magnificent Jago and Litefoot series (Two more characters that need to return. They fit in so well with Strax in Jago, Litefoot and Strax episode they did).

I much enjoy the adventures of the Fourth Doctor with Time Lady Romana
and super robotic dog K-9. No humans were needed as companions during those years.

Hi, I'm Misty Blue.
I often drop in but rarely log in or comment.
Anyway, I've been watching some classic who and I absolutely love Leela. (I'd choose her for a comeback companion too)

I admit I was expecting the classic who companions to all be damsels in distress. Wow! Not Leela!

I haven't seen any links/pics/or vids in this thread so I hope it's not a board rule or something not to include any. If so, let me know and I'll delete it.

Here's a Leela fanvid. (the bit where she's chewing on his scarf... awwww)

Welcome, Misty Blue!

Yes, Leela was quite a departure from the standard damsel in distress companions. I quite enjoyed watching her perform myself.
