There was more invested in their friendship and it was truly sad to see them part the way they did. I still dont get why the Doctor cant get around the temporal chasm and see Amy and Rory again?

There are clearly ways around flying the Tardis straight into wherever it was they were when the Weeping Angels showed up. He could have parked the Tardis outside the affected temporal area and walked. He could have gotten further directions if he didnt know where the Ponds actually were. |

Amy said she never saw the Doctor again, so she didn't. Even if you don't like the explanation we did get one.
I don't think they'd have waited for the Doctor as Amy had said bye and I hope it didn't take them long to find each other. __________________

I maintain he could have found a way to see them if he thought long and hard about it.
I cried my way through the ending of that episode. |

Alright, I'm quite new to DW, so I'm going to ask some stuff about Eleven/Amy that I know will be dragging up old discussions. But I'm kind of confused about the nature of their relationship..especially how the Doctor views Amy.
I just watched 'Amy's Choice'...am I crazy or did the Doctor seem jealous of Rory and like the Dreamlord part of him wanted her to choose him and not Rory? And not only that, but that the darker side of him was excited/desiring of the sexual aspect of their relationship that she had pursued 2 episodes before? I was honestly kind of bowled over by this revelation, but I thought that maybe I was just understanding the writers intentions incorrectly. The Dreamlord represented the repressed, dark side of the Doctor. And the DL made comments more than once regarding Amy's attraction to him (and the "anything could happen" comment). Then when Amy told the Doctor that she wanted Rory and that she didn't want to live without him (which, to be honest, while that scene broke my heart for the Doctor's sake...being OK with the possibility of dying in the real world and so guilty and unsure of how to comfort Amy . Anyway, I didn't like the scene overall because I didn't buy Amy's reaction and how she didn't even give her baby a second thought. I'm having a hard time buying Amy/Rory right now in general..) he looked soooo sad and resigned. What are the Doctor's feelings towards Amy? Repressed? Purely platonic? I know later on they settle into just deep friendship - with maybe a little undercurrent of something else - but at this point I honestly get the feeling the Doctor is attracted to her and is just completely resolved to not go there again. But that may just be me in reading into things. Thoughts? Am I completely reading this wrong? Does he have only purely friendship feelings towards her? Was he sad only because he was afraid that her choosing Rory meant she would leave him and he would be alone again? Anyway..regardless, I'm really enjoying their relationship and development. I just treasure the Doctor/companion relationships SO. MUCH. 9-10/Rose(mainly 9 and Rose, actually), 10/Donna and now 11/Amy in particular. I'm loving the 11th Doctor. He's so...touchy feel-y. And I think he uses his jovial, light-hearted attitude as a bit of a shield against the sadness and self-loathing that is bubbling under the surface. I'm still missing Nine, but the Eleventh Doc is amazing as well. __________________

welcome Red Dragon so glad you are enjoying the series
ok wow big questiong i need to remember the episode now .. see i do understand your confusion earlier on these two did seem romantically link in a way and i think the doctor was very protective of Amy not Rory cause he did want to travel with Amy by himself . i think that scene you are talking about feel out of place cause its the first time Amy really realises that she truely loves Rory more than anything else eben more htan the doctor thats why its a shock cause before she was running away from it the wedding and Rory i think that scene was the tipping point from them m aybe being romantically involved to just being friends ..thats why i think i think other fans will give you more insifght __________________
