Well I think that is what happens when you do soooo many false exits. I mean, Amy and Rory had about 4 or 5. Clara has had 3 or 4. And the impact of the final departure is diminished because of all the fake and unnecessary ones. I think they should either let Clara leave for good, or they should take her back but with no more false exits. And regardless, the next companion should only have their exit when they leave, not 3 times per season.

It set a dangerous precadent by having Clara so wishy washy I fear.
