I actually prefer the Doctor's single emo manly tear.

Billie broke my heart on a regular basis because of how good she is at crying.

Oh yes. That and him crying over the Master maybe Billie gave him some pointers? (definitely not implying that she had to teach him how to act though )

John Smith was a bit of a prat, but I still liked him.

I wonder how Rose would have reacted to finding out the Doctor was going to be human (wellnowyou'rehumanwhydon'twehaveabitofashag, perhaps?)

I prefer the Doctor's breakdown at the Master's refusal to regenerate, because... it's actually the Doctor, and he's sobbing. When Rose left, he shed a single tear. I think losing the last of your species is bit more affecting than losing someone you knew for two years, no matter how awesome she happened to be.

Yes! It completely makes sense, I agree. When she cries, I want to start sobbing myself too
It's just so.....real? I dont know. When I see her cry I think that that could be me. It doesn't look forced and it looks genuinely upset.

Ditto. I just wanted to hug him because he just seemed so utterly confused.

That's all I can think of to say, seriously.

Oh, and we could only wish

I think Rose would have handled the Doctor being human pretty well... She may have gotten a bit jealous over Joan, but I think she would have gotten over cause she would have know how much he loved her.

Really, I thought when Rose got bitchy at Sarah Jane she was more worried about her future with her Doctor than being jealous.

It doesn't look like she's acting at ALL, a lot of actors tend to get overly dramatical when they do crying scenes, but with her it looks so utterly natural and REAL...

most likely I think those 2 episodes would've been COMPLETELY different if Rose had still been there. (for starters, John wouldn't have noticed Joan FACT. )

ETA: night Jess I have to go soon too, sadly not juuuuuuuust yet though...

Yeah, definitely. She was more scared of being abandoned without a goodbye like Sarah was and then never mentioned again (did you see all the Rose references in season three? Never gonna happen ) than actually jealous. But she was a bit jealous of Sarah

ETA: Bye, Jess!

My motto, who needs sleep when Doctor Who has just been given an entire board to itself? (especially when I didn't get up until 1PM this afternoon, hehe and have drank approximately the same amount of Pepsi than could fill a four-by-four with petrol for two weeks)

No way would he have noticed Joan if Rose was there- even if she was just a cleaner.

Well, Sarah Janes first comment that she heard was "You can tell you're getting older, you're assitants are getting younger!" I'd get offended too!

Yeah that's true. I think maybe they were a both bit jealous at first.

I thought her jealousy over Sarah Jane was very healthy, and it would've been really unrealistic if she hadn't been at least a little bit jealous. I loved that they both got over it so quickly though and then actually got along

Season 3 was still SO much about Rose. 'Saxon' may have been the official 'Bad Wolf' of S3, but 'Rose' was definitely the unofficial one

And it got the immortal discussion:

Quote:
Rose: With you, did he do that thing where he'd explain something at, like, ninety miles per hour, and you'd go "What?" and he'd look at you like you'd just dribbled on your shirt?
Sarah: All the time! Does he still stroke bits of the TARDIS?
Rose: Yeah! Yeah, he does! I'm like, "Do you two wanna be alone?"
(Both laugh as the Doctor enters)
The Doctor: How's it going?
(Rose and Sarah laugh hysterically)
The Doctor: What? Listen, I need to find out what's programmed inside these... What? ... Stop it!
I did actually feel sorry for Martha having to live in Rose's shadow (clearly, it was a pretty big shadow for the Doctor) all season. At least Donna won't put up with that

"The Mrs. and the Ex..." Mickey has never spoken truer words.

But I loved the scene where they finally get along and the Doctor is just utterly confused.

It makes a change that he's the one who's confused!

I wish Sarah-Jane had stayed a little longer- I would have loved to see more of Rose's relationship with her explored.
