One thing I dislike about Rose as the Bad Wolf is she did not destroy the Daleks once and for all. I felt Series 1 should have been the frand finale for the Dalek race, leaving future series open to new adversaries. But indeed they were brought back ie the Cult of Skaro, which created a story arc for the Daleks that ran during all 3 of David's series.
I feel it was overkill especially by the time of The Stolen Earth which works only because they brought Davros back, even if the 2nd part-Journey's End-is not met with much approval by some.

thats true but with certain creatures in the whovise you cant kill aka the darleks and cyberman they are just as important as teh doctor really

Oh they have tried to kill off the Daleks several times in the original series. But the need for ratings brought them back.

They should have stayed dead after the Time War IMHO. There were still other classic series adversaries to have in the nuWho. They could have brought the proper Cybermen back (I dont count Pete Tyler's Cybusmen)or given us a straight Master story arc. Not to mention numerous more.

They always do come back don't they?? I don't know who I like more the darlek or the cybermen.. I think the darleks you can do so much more with them that you can't do with the cybermen

The Cybermen in the old Who sometimes had more personality and more devious plans in mind whenever they encountered the Doctor. It's this modern lot that are stale and always do the same thing.

I think in the original series the Cyberman came from another planet, whereas they're more created by man in the modern series?

That is true, they were created in the 2006 series by John Lumic. But those Cybermen habe since merged with now, and the alien Cybermen from the classic series in the far future, according to the writer of Nightmare in Silver.
