HAHA! That's true. Tbh, I haven't really been super upset about the show story-wise when I watched New Who. I watched not really expecting anything but I ended up loving the show. And I like that there were only 13 eps per season so all the stories just run along.

That's why I was scared to dive into this fandom too, it's been so long and I've only seen New Who eps. I might get attacked for not knowing everything.

I know what you mean though because I kind of felt that was as well when I first became a fan of New Who

certain fans believe that but thankfully they way the write who you dont need to know everything cause the trick with this show is no onw knows everything

I agree Petra! I love that you don't have to familiar with the Classic Who - or even the previous Doctor for that matter - to be able to enjoy the show and follow along.

Yeah, I don't think I need to watch Classic eps to understand New Who although they still do some continuity or hark back to classic figures from that time. I just Google them to know what they are at least.

tbh the only time i was ever confused in new who is when the Brig died cause i had not watched the classics yet Brig wasnt really mentioned in the show than suddenly dr calls him and he is dead and the doctor really sad i remember thinking who is this guy? why was he so important to the doctor? .. now i know and it is so heartbreaking ..

also with new who they did the show on its own it was never ment to be contined on with the classic i think they were allowed to do it as a new show seperately to the classic
