All in all, it felt like Dr. Who.
Yeah for me it was by a clear country mile the best of what was otherwise a pretty dire series. They were definitely the standouts. Even so, it still doesn't come close to the classic classic whos, but it may get on a par with stuff like Mawdryn Undead or The Happiness Patrol or Claws of Axos etc- good, watchable Who but not on a par with the Genesis of the Daleks, Talons of Weng-Chiang or City of Death of the Whoniverse imo.

I think it was pretty much like standard Who fare like The Claws of Axos so no argument from me on that score.

Agreed. It was good, standard, watchable Who. Nothing on the Genesis level but equally miles and miles ahead of the dross we've had to endure these past few years.
